What Will Jesus Do For You?
Come Out Of The Man You Foul Spirit ! The Story of a Tormented Soul We don’t know his name but we do know his face. We have all seen him a thousand times -- torment, pain, confusion, lost hope, and emptiness. He was so afflicted that he could not even speak his real name but identified with his inner demons. "My name is Legion, for we are many!" No doubt he had seen the Roman Legions passing by; strong, uniformed, orderly, and all that he was not but would so much like to become. Day and night -- he lived among the tombs where Legion found his only refuge from mocking and horrified stares. He often assailed travelers and was uncontrollable. His inner holocaust brought such caustic suffering that he would often cut his flesh to bring a variation to the unceasing roar within his soul. When Hope Landed One day Legion experienced a unique feeling. Some would suppose the devils within sensed that something was coming. They did not but rather, the God of creation sent his spirit to draw this hopeless and broken life. Without knowing why, Legion moved down toward the sea. There he spied a ship full of men. The spirits in his breast began to swirl and roar in anger. What was happening? Before Legion understood he was running to meet the ship. The Bible Says: "When he (Legion) saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, and cried with a loud voice and said: what have I to do with you Jesus the son of the most high God? I require you in the name of God that you torment me not. For he had said unto him: come out of the man you foul spirit. And Jesus asked him: what is your name and he answered saying: my name is Legion, for we are many. And he prayed him instantly, that he would not send them away out of the country. And there was there near unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding, and all the devils besought him saying: send us into the herd of swine, that we may enter into them. And at once Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out and entered into the swine. And the herd startled, and ran headlong into the sea. They were about two thousand swine, and they were drowned in the sea. And the swine herders fled and told it in the city, and in the country. And they came out for to see what had happened: and came to Jesus, and saw him that was vexed with the fiend and had the Legion, sit, both clothed and in his right mind, and were afraid." (Mark 5) Jesus Will Do the Same for You Jesus is always the same and still sets the captive free. Whenever a person calls upon the Lord deliverance is provided from above. God waits to hear your cry today. You can be freed from all the sins of the flesh. Nothing is too hard for God. He waits to hear you prayer. 2 Chronicles 16:9 "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him." Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
What He has done for others Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." Acts 10:34-35 "Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35 But in every nation he that fears him, and works righteousness, is accepted with him." Luke 10:17-20 "And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven."
